Is this invoice HMRC compliant?
The invoice includes the details HMRC expects: your name or business name, your customer, the invoice number and date, a description of the work, the amount and any VAT. If you're VAT registered, add your VAT number and choose the VAT option so it's shown correctly. If you're unsure about your own obligations, check with your accountant.
Can I add my VAT number?
Yes. Enter it in the "Your VAT number" box and it's printed on the PDF. You can also add 20% VAT on top of your price, or back it out of a price that already includes VAT.
